GPBC supports the efforts of the Southern Baptist Convention Women’s Missionary Union. WMU supports local, national, and international missions through prayer and special offerings, such as the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
The Margaret Huskey Circle is a group of women that meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month to pray and plan.
They host an annual Craft Fair to raise money for Missions Support including:
- Purchasing and packaging gifts for Operation Christmas Child
- Providing funds to local missions
- Providing funds to foreign missions
Local Ministry
- Cherokee County Children’s Home – provide Christmas gifts
- Cherokee County Meals on Wheels – food delivery
- Cherokee County Soup Kitchen – meal preparation and serving
- Grassy Pond Elementary School – supplies for teachers
- Peachcenter Ministries – donate and deliver food items
