What to Expect on Sunday

…but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Jesus (John 4:14-14 )

Connect

If you are visiting us for the first time, we are excited to have you as our guest! Visiting a new church can be overwhelming. We have friendly GP Connect church members who will help you with anything you need.  Look for the folks in the lobby wearing green lanyards and GP Connect name tags. They are in the lobby just to answer your questions, give you directions, and help you get started.

When you arrive at Grassy Pond there are two parking lots. You can park anywhere, but the lot on the left has Visitor spots reserved just for you! Enter the main sanctuary using the stairs or the wheelchair-accessible ramp. Our aisles are also accessible.

Sunday School

Sunday School classes meet at 9am and study through a book of the Bible. There are 3 Women’s classes, 2 Men’s classes, and 2 Co-ed classes. There are also classes for young college/young adults, and for children of all ages. You can try any classes you wish, so you can find the place that makes you feel the most comfortable. Sunday School is a time to gather with a smaller group, though some of the classes are larger than others. Classes meet in various areas of the campus, with some classes on ramp level for those who cannot use the stairs.

During a Worship Service

Songs, prayers, and the reading and teaching of Scripture are normally practiced each Sunday. In the back of the seats, you will find songbooks, Bibles, giving envelopes, and visitor cards. If you do not have your own Bible, we invite you to pick one up from the table in the foyer of the church. It is our gift to you. Our worship music style includes piano, choir, and occasionally the organ or drums. We like to sing traditional hymns as well as modern songs.

Childcare

Children are very welcome! We have a nursery available for infants through 4K. Bring older children into the service with you. After the Children’s Sermon (near the beginning of the morning worship service), the children in 5K – 5th grade are taken out together to go to Children’s Church (Pond Kidz).

We also welcome children to stay for the full worship service, so please feel free to keep your children with you after the Children’s Sermon if you wish.

Dress

The attire in our church ranges from casual to suit and tie. You are welcome to dress according to your comfort.
