MISSIONS PROJECT
For the months of May and June we will be filling baby bottles with change or checks that will be given to Options Medical, our local Crisis Pregnancy Center. Baby bottles are located in several areas around the Sanctuary. Bottles are due back on Father’s Day.
Some Amazing Women!
Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) encourages churches to focus on missions in their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Act 1:8) GPBC collects three special offerings, named in honor of the women who were instrumental in their creation.
- Annie Armstrong offering – North American Missions
- Janie Chapman offering – South Carolina Missions
- Lottie Moon offering – International Missions
These godly women from our past, all from wealthy families, “did not consider that the sufferings of this present time worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” (Romans 8:18) They did not let societal norms dictate their service to God or keep them from fulfilling their God-given potential.
